Pamela Anderson has sent Melania Trump a bespoke thank you gift so the first lady can sport a fur free look at the presidential inauguration. Anderson designed an ‘eco faux fur’ coat with her Russian faux fur manufacturer- ‘Only Me’ and sent it on to Melania.

She wrote;

Dear Melania,

"Amid all the mania at the inauguration, you looked stunning in an outfit by Ralph Lauren – one of many fur-free designers"

"I am so happy that you chose not to wear fur! As first lady, you will help set style trends, and by remaining compassionate with your choices, you will warm the hearts of many."

Please accept this top-of-the-line Russian eco-faux fur made especially for you by my partners at http://only-me.ru/.

Many blessings to you and your family.

Best wishes,

Pamela Anderson

In 2009, Anderson also fought for animal rights in Russia when she wrote  a letter to then–Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to thank him for banning the slaughter of baby harp seals.

In 2011, she worked alongside PETA US – whose motto reads, in part, that "animals are not ours to wear" – to persuade Russia, which had previously imported 90% of her native Canada's baby-seal pelts, to ban these importations.

Anderson was crowned PETA’s Person of the Year in 2016 for her continued efforts to promote vegan eating and for speaking out against cruelty towards animals- namely using animals in circuses for the purpose of entertainment.

Vogue saluted her ability to wear both stylish and cruelty free clothing and last month, she was announced as the face of the spring/summer 2017 campaign from Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood – one of many British fur-free designers.
