New exposé finds this piglet is left to rot
Another expose from eyewitnesses has found more shocking conditions on yet another pig farm in the UK.
Two unnamed members of the public captured footage of pigs with open wounds living in dirty pens alongside piles of dead pigs.
In the video you can see one piglet looking like its struggling to breathe, while the others in the cage are forced to walk over him. Another scene is of discarded syringes and equipment along with overcrowded conditions.
This is not the first video- as more footage from pig farms in the UK was only released in March 2016.
"The suffering exposed in this video is not the exception - it is almost certainly the rule", says PETA Associate Director Elisa Allen "The only way for consumers to avoid contributing to the systematic suffering of animals on factory farms is to leave animals off their plates and instead choose from the abundant vegan options available in supermarkets today."
As documented by PETA - whose motto reads, in part, that "animals are not ours to eat" - on UK farms, many piglets endure having their teeth clipped or ground down and their tails cut off without any pain relief.
Before they have their babies, mother pigs are held in crates so small that they are unable to turn around and consequently they can't build a nest which is what they would normally do in the wild.
They are repeatedly impregnated and each litter of babies is taken away and fattened up before being sent to slaughter.
