PETA UK once again asks the question- ‘who is the hottest vegan of them all?’ To answer this PETA UK and Ireland’s Hottest Vegan Competition 2017 is now open for submissions.

The competition was inspired by PETA US’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity contest – which has featured Natalie Portman, Jessica Chastain, Thandie Newton, David Haye, and many others. It seeks to put a spotlight on men and women who are living proof that compassion is the most attractive attribute of all.

There will be two winners chosen- one woman and one man and they will each receive an eight-course vegan taster menu for two at the top London restaurant Gauthier Soho.

"A trim body, a healthy heart, and a clear conscience are just some of the benefits of eating vibrant plant-based meals," says PETA Director Elisa Allen. "Everyone who enters PETA's annual contest is a testament to how sexy vegans are, inside and out."

Entrants must be at least 18 years of age. The entry round ends on 13 July. By 18 July, PETA will announce the top finalists – to be determined by a PETA panel – and voting will open to the public to help the group determine whom it should select as the winners. The winners will be chosen based on several factors, including vote count, and will be announced by 4 August.

Here are last year's winners; Stefanie Moir from Glasgow and Anthony Welsh from Newcastle.
