The chia seed juice comes in four flavours, each offering an exceptional combination of powerful nutritional benefits.

This means each drink is 100% natural with no preservatives and no-added sugar, containing 33% less sugar than other drinks on the market. The drink is then HPP'd (High Pressure Processing) which preserves the nutritional goodness, keeping it raw and fresh.

Each bottle of wow contains 11.36g of chia seeds, delivering protein and fibre to increase metabolic health and reduce cravings, omega-3 which helps lower cholesterol and reduce blood pressure as well as iron to ensure an extra energy boost and calcium to enhance hair, nails and skin.

Wow Food & Drinks, the company behind wow, is dedicated to pioneering and challenging the existing product market. Founded in London by two young entrepreneurs and university friends, Oliver Dickinson and Rory Paterson, the company is aiming to disrupt the drinks market through its bold approach to product innovation. Extending the juice drinks category, they are the first company in Europe to be granted FSA approval to produce chia seed based drinks.

Wanting to inspire people to feel amazing, the company has adopted the tagline 'Made Amazing' encouraging people to search for 'more' in every aspect of their life so they can truly feel amazing, and be the best they can be.

Oliver Dickinson, Co-Founder Wow Food & Drinks commented: " Having experienced the health benefits of chia seeds first hand, we wanted to share this experience and deliver a product which makes people feel amazing. Accessible and convenient, each bottle of wow combines the natural goodness of fruit and vegetables with the intrinsic wellbeing benefits of chia."

All of the ingredients have been expertly handpicked to keep skin glowing, hair shining and energy levels high for the fashion set as they rush between shows.

  • One of the key ingredients used in both boxes is olive oil. Viewed as the elixir of life, olive oil is nature's answer to anti-aging. It slows aging both on your face and inside your body; rich in anti-oxidants, it enhances insulin sensitivity and improves blood sugar control
  • The Demeter box contains quinoa, which is full of all the minerals you need for a hectic fashion week

Cuppanut

If you're in need of a morning pick-me-up and caffeine-fixes just aren't your cup of tea Holland & Barrett has a new solution. The high street retailer has launched a new range of natural coconut infusions called Cuppanut.

Created and founded by singer and actor Gareth Gates, Cuppanut is a caffeine free way to keep you warm this winter. Made with 87% pure coconut, only natural ingredients from the very best sources make it into Cuppanut.

Suitable for both vegetarians and vegans the biodegradable bags are available in three new flavours; coconut & cranberry, ginger & turmeric and original coconut. Fragrant and naturally sweet, each infusion makes a tranquil cuppa with no need to add milk.

Cuppanut contains no artificial ingredients and as Alex Thompson, head nutritionist at Holland & Barrett, explains the new range is great for those seeking a caffeine free energy boost.

'Many people rely on caffeine to kick start their day and then continue to top up their caffeine levels as their energy levels drop'' explains Alex. '' Whilst caffeinated drinks are a quick fix when you're low on energy, over use of caffeine in the diet can have a re-bound effect leaving people feeling drained. Caffeine also acts as adiuretic so can contribute to fluid loss. A healthier way to keep hydrated is by drinking fruit or herbal infusions. Coconut makes a great natural base for an infusion. By blending the coconut with antioxidant spices such as turmeric and ginger, Cuppanut has created a tea that not only tastes great but has soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits for the body''.

Marketing Manager at Holland & Barrett, Kat Tyndall, adds ''Tea has long been the nation's favourite drink but in recent years celebrities have started to influence a switch away from caffeine towards healthy alternatives. A growing number of customers are trading in the traditional cuppa for infusions that contain health benefits. Coconut has seen a boost in popularity this year due to its versatility as a raw, natural flavour and we've had a cracking response to the launch of Cuppanut in our stores''.

Cuppanut is available for £4.50 from Holland & Barrett stores nationwide and online at www.hollandandbarrett.com.

The Coconut Company's Coconut Flour

Coconut water and coconut oil may have shot to nutritional stardom over the last few years, but another coconut ingredient could prove to be far more beneficial for those involved in health and fitness…

With a hint of coconut, but otherwise tasting and looking like ordinary plain flour, coconut flour hides a healthy secret behind it's non-descript exterior; it contains a whopping 22g of protein per 100g of flour. That's over double the amount in normal flour and means you can turn everyday dishes into high protein recovery foods, whether you fancy a savoury pancake or a vitamin packed fruit crumble.

It's not just exercise recovery that the flour can help with however. Adding coconut flour to your cakes and other desserts could mean you're less likely to reach for another slice. Protein is known to help keep hunger at bay and, in combination with the high fibre content also found in coconut flour, results in foods that will help keep you feeling fuller for longer and ultimately make it easier for you to stay away from the biscuit tin.

Furthermore the flour is totally gluten and wheat free, meaning less tummy trouble for those suffering with intolerances.

The Coconut Company's coconut flour is not only organic, but is also unrefined and made from 100% GM free raw coconut meat, meaning you can be assured it is the highest quality available.

Visit www.thecoconutcompany.co for further information or to buy. £3.99 for a 400g re-sealable pouch.

James White Drinks

James White Drinks continues to excite the drinks market, adding three new shots (Turmeric Juice, Lime & Chilli and Xtra Ginger) to its Zinger range. The latest additions follow the successful launch of its Organic Ginger Zinger Shot in late 2015.

A Zinger is a little (7cl) intense all natural drink designed to wake you up with Zing - a healthy alternative to sugar and caffeine loaded drinks.

The launch of Turmeric Juice Zinger is proving timely as this powerful golden wonder root has attracted a lot of recent publicity for its significant role in traditional medicine. Most widely known as the ingredient in spicy Indian food that turns it yellow, Turmeric is attracting serious attention as an anti-inflammatory, skin glower and may even boost brain power. The Turmeric Juice Zinger is a first for the UK, using freshly pressed Turmeric juice rather than Turmeric powder, blended with pressed apple juice with lemon, pepper and chilli added for extra Zing.

After the success of the Organic Ginger Zinger, there was room for an Xtra Ginger Zinger - designed especially for the increasing number of masochistically inclined ginger lovers out there. The Xtra Ginger Zinger is made with 40% crushed ginger juice, blended with pressed apple juice with added chilli. The Zinger is guaranteed to wake consumers up naturally and fortunately there are quite a lot of serious ginger lovers out there.

After the warm, softer heat of Ginger, the Lime Chilli Zinger is an intense combination of the sharpness of lime, combined with the fiercer heat of chilli - think Mexican fieriness caught in a little bottle!

The Zinger range of four varieties are made with 100% natural ingredients and no preservatives, artificial colours or flavours. RRP of £1.49 per 7cl shot. Turmeric Juice Shot and Ginger Zinger Shot will be available in Waitrose from late July 2016.

Catherine Fookes, Organic Trade Board Campaign Manager says: 'With Organic September just around the corner, it is the perfect time to celebrate all things organic and unbox something new to try - from everyday staples, to delicious treats and healthy pick-me-ups. We are encouraging everyone this September to make a simple change and go organic.'
