Ingredients

50 g (1/4 cup) wheat berries or 60 g (1/2 cup) whole wheat flour

30 g (1/4 cup) wheat germ

70 g (1/2 cup) raw almonds

155 g (1 cup) rolled oats

1 medium to large apple, seeded, cubed or 265 ml unsweetened applesauce

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

45 ml (3 Tablespoons) honey or agave nectar

60 g (1/2 cup) dried cranberries

Directions

Place wheat berries, wheat germ, almonds, and oats into the Vitamix Dry Grains container and secure lid.

Select Variable 1.

Turn machine on and slowly increase to speed to Variable 10, then to High.

Blend for 30 seconds. Turn machine off. Pour out into bowl.

Place apple into the Vitamix Dry Grains container and secure lid.

Select Variable 1.

Turn machine on and slowly increase speed to Variable 10, then to High.

Use the tamper to press the apple into the blades.

Blend for 35-40 seconds or until consistency of applesauce.

Pour into bowl with dry ingredients. Add salt, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, and cranberries to mixture.

Mix gently by hand to combine. Spread into greased 20cm x 20cm (8-inch x 8-inch) pan.

Bake for 25 minutes in a 180ËšC (350ËšF) oven.
