The Green Goodness Smoothie

If you are looking for a blend of nourishing greens combined with essential fats, then look no further. This naturally sweet and hydrating smoothie provides the nutrition your complexion is longing for using the Russell Hobbs 3 in 1 Ultimate Juicer.

Step 1 - Juice:

  • ½ cucumber
  • 3 pears

Step 2 - Press:

  • ½ lime

Step 3 - Blend:

  • 2 large handfuls of fresh spinach
  • 1 tbsp. almond butter
  • ½ avocado
  • 3 dates
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

Refreshing cucumber and the subtle sweetness of pears gives a great base to this smoothie. Extracting the nutritious liquid parts of cucumber and pear provides you with a perfect hydrating start to your drink without their outer skins.

To add to this, a dash of lime will give your smoothie a nice tang and a serious kick of vitamin C to keep your energy levels high. Limes are often fiddly and forgotten when making smoothies, but with a press, you can easily whiz this up in seconds.

Next up is blended spinach, packing a hefty amount of beta carotene which is very nourishing for your skin. Spinach also contains soft fibre which blends well. Adding an array of healthy fats is always a must to keep those locks shining, so the almond butter for omega-3 and 6 and avocado for omega-9 covers you on this one. Dates, if blended well into your smoothie, can make your healthy vegetables taste heavenly, and as they are full of potassium, you won't need those bananas today! Finish off your smoothie with a pinch of cinnamon to crush those sugar cravings later on.
