Fruits, vegetables, beans and pulses are some of healthiest natural food sources on the planet. From growing in the ground to hanging on a tree they’re packed full of nutrients and flavour and normally edible straight away. It’s for this reason they are the core components of the Gosh! food range, with no colours or preservatives and no added nasties.

Gosh! is all about appreciating nature, by intelligently combining vegetables, fruits, pulses, beans, bulbs, spices and herbs we are able elevate all the natural ingredients to create a beautiful, tasty creation. We blend the best of nature to create flavours designed to delight and nourish everyone.

Here are our top 5 reasons why we believe veggies don’t need a lot of dressing up to be delicious:

Natural Flavour

We believe that veggies have their own amazing natural flavour, so we select the most delicious vegetables with the fullest flavour profile at their peak point of ripeness to make the most of their taste. This means there is no need for adding unnatural, artificial flavours to put fake tastes in; by doing this we let the vegetables shine and be the hero of our creations.

Cooking method

By cooking vegetables in different ways you can change how they taste. This helps to brings out their variety of distinct flavours and textures depending on how they’re cooked. By utilising various cooking methods you can extract the best flavours from all the vegetables, giving a wide variety of textures, densities and tastes which makes them as delicious as possible. Steam for freshness, stir fry for crunch or even use the grill to char those veggies into taste heaven.

Variety

By combining an assortment of various vegetables, you can create a meal that doesn’t get ‘boring’, with too much of one flavour. Rather than having a mountain of steamed broccoli to trudge through, it’s a lot more enjoyable to have a wide variety of different veggies. We love experimenting with different combinations to see what works – celeriac with sweet potato, beetroot with chickpeas; you name it, we’ve tried it.

Additions of herbs & spices

Adding bulbs, herbs and spices helps to enhance the flavours of vegetables and elevate them to a new level. Rather than masking their flavour by covering them in spices, adding a few small sprinkles can really make a big difference – especially to those vegetables that have subtle tastes. Garam Marsala, Cumin, Chilli, Thai Basil, Parsley, Thyme and Mint have great flavours that go amazingly on your veggies – add spices when cooking and finish the dish off by adding herbs.

Health & Minimising calories

The most unhealthy part of a salad is usually the dressing, likewise sauces often contain lots of oils, sugar and calories. To maximise the benefits of a healthy diet full of nutritious vegetables and to minimise unnecessary calories, drop the sauces and enjoy them as they’re supposed to be eaten. To add a splash of zing squeeze over some fresh lemon or lime juice, or even some apple cider vinegar.

At Gosh! we aim to maximise the flavour of all our natural ingredients, to create healthy and happy food that absolutely everyone can enjoy. If you want to prepare a healthy meal, or even an on-the-go snack, we’ve done the hard work for you. The whole range is free-from the top 14 allergens, from just 84 calories per serving and is fully registered by the Vegetarian, Vegan, Coeliac and Kosher food societies.
