Well Kelly Clarkson seems to have taken herself out of the running of being the next person as a judge on American Idol. Kelly Clarkson was the first ever winner of the show back in 2002 and since then has had a massively successful career. She has recently appeared on a show called Duets in America and was a mentor for contestants on there, which gave everyone the impression that working on a talent show is something she would want to do. However, it doesn’t seem the case with American Idol. Kelly said: "I don't like the judging part of it. That's what I liked about Duets. I got to actually mentor them and it was more fun. I don't think I'd be honest. I think I'd get home and be like, 'Did you see that, boy? He was bad!' I don't think I'd say that on TV because people would hate me!" After Jennifer Lopez and Steve Tyler decided to leave the judging panel of American Idol, Mariah Carey has stepped in. Kelly Clarkson has always said that Mariah Carey is one of her heroes and so everyone thought that Mariah being on the show might persuade her, but it seems not. Kelly said: "I'm kind of super-proud that I'm from the show and Mariah Carey's going to be on it. Just because I'm a huge fan of hers." Well, there is still time if they offer her enough money – maybe they can employ Kelly Clarkson as the nice judge as something tells us that Mariah Carey is going to be brutally honest. Other names which have been thrown around for a place on the TV show’s panel include Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams –now they would make the panel a very good looking one!
