Do you know when to shop for yours?

Do you know when to shop for yours?

Our discussion board member asks:

‘When do people start looking for their dress??

Amanda says:

My advice is buy your gown between 18 to 12 months before your wedding. Some gowns can take between 3-6 months for production and fittings so to avoid unnecessary stress buy your gown plenty of time before your wedding.

I really want to start looking, but worried it’s that bit too early... Getting married in a year, what if I decide on a winter wedding?!’

12 months is about right, you need to keep in mind your gown needs to be made and then altered. You may require several fittings and this can be tricky finding the time to schedule these in with busy lifestyles and also busy bridal boutiques. Wedding planning can be stressful so take the bridal gown stress out of the equation and buy as soon as possible.
