Arguably two of the biggest pizza fans, Kieran and Natasha Morris from Bury, Manchester received an unusual gift on their wedding day- from guess who?….Domino’s.

The pizza place commissioned Nathan Wyburn, celebrity portrait artist to put a ‘selfie’ photo taken by the couple and put it onto a pizza! The faces were created upon 13 inch Domino bases using only traditional pizza toppings, such as tomato puree, ham and sweetcorn, taking around three hours to capture the faces of the newlyweds.

The wedding recently took place on Saturday 18th January at Samlesbury Hall in Preston where the ‘selfies’ were delivered to them at their reception in Domino’s at Bamber Bridge.

The couple got in touch with Domino’s to request a special pizzas on their big day as a surprise for their guests as they always joke about the couples passion for the savoury treat!

The groom, Kieran Morris said: “The pizza-selfie portraits were like nothing we could have imagined – definitely our most unusual wedding present! We were completely overwhelmed to see our faces on the pizzas, and the guests absolutely loved them.  We order Domino’s pizza all the time - so it’s felt right to incorporate them into the most special day of our lives.”

The newlyweds are both from Bury and have been an item for seven years. Kieran is a support worker and Natalie is a student at Salford University. They have recently gone on their honeymoon to a nature reserve near Reykjavik Iceland.

Ahmed Faraz Store Manager at the Bamber Bridge Domino’s commented: “We are really excited that Domino’s are able to be a part of Kieran and Natasha’s big day in such a unique way. It’s been really fun working behind the scenes to recreate the pizza-selfies for such big fans and we wish them all the best for the future.”

So there you have it- wedding themes can arise from the unlikeliest of places, whatever your passion in life- if you ask- people are willing to do whatever it takes to make your day special.
