Double Olympian, Helen Glover decided to do something a little different for her hen do. She opted for an adrenaline fuelled total wipeout course at Retallack Resort and Spa last week just days before she married TV presenter Steve Backshall.
Heather Stanning, Helen's fellow Olympian- who won a second Olympic gold with Helen at Rio, was part of the group of eight hens, which also included Helen's Mum, Rachel.
The hens and bride-to-be stayed in one of the family houses, which sleeps 12 and relaxed in the spa before they raised the pace at the Aqua Park assault course, followed by a poolside BBQ.
HELLO! Magazine secured the exclusive on the couple's Cornish cliff-top wedding. Helen told the publication that the lodge and water sports activities had been the perfect way to relax after the excitement of the Olympics.
"It was amazing," she told HELLO!. "It felt like a chance to get away from the post-Olympic excitement and wedding prep. The highlight was sitting round and laughing with friends, which I haven't been able to do for a long time due to my training programme. And the fact that my mum and sisters could be part of it."
