Sarah Millican has just posted on Facebook:
‘Thrilled to announce that Gary Delaney and I got married last weekend. We are loved up and beaming. X’
The news is welcome after her many interviews on how her previous relationship with Andrew Millican ended unexpectedly, leaving her heartbroken. She picked up the pieces by attending writing workshops in Newcastle’s Live Theatre and Custom House in South Shields and channelling her experiences into her work.
Her divorce- although undoubtedly painful at the time has provided her with her many well-known gags in her hugely successful stand up shows since. Things have really turned around for this comedienne and perversely her divorce was the catalyst. She is a real example to every woman of how to pick yourself up after heartache and come back for another slice of the cake! She is proof that second time around it tastes so much better!
She has been with Gary Delaney since 2006 and told Alan Carr on his Chatty Man show that after living apart for seven years- they had finally bought a house together near Manchester.
She announced today that the couple had finally tied the knot last weekend- here at Female First, we wish the newlyweds all the happiness in the world and hope that married life brings along with it many more funny moments to share with us all!
