Lucy was born in Reading, Berkshire. She attended Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead from the age of 12 having won a scholarship.

Since the age of 9, Lucy has been acting. She starred in the West End Production, Barnados and moved onto Worzel Gummage at the age of 12. Her first big break was Press Gang playing Julie Craig from 1989 -1993.

However, Lucy is best known for her role as Lisa Fowler in EastEnders which she played from 1998-2003.

During her time in EastEnders she was involved in one of the soap's most renowned and highly anticipated storylines ‘Who shot Phil?’ (March & April 2001). The episode on 5th April 2001 was watched by more than 20 million viewers. Lisa’s fate was revealed in two special episodes shot in Portugal. She finished filming for EastEnders in the summer of 2002.

Since appearing on EastEnders, Lucy has been in pantomimes across London as well as touring for 6 months in a play called Framed where she starred with Tom Craig from Coronation Street.

Lucy married oil businessman, Richard Taggart, at Babington House, Somerset in April 2006. They have recently moved into a new house in Gidea Park and have just bought a kitten called, “Dolly” who is Lucy’s pride and joy.
