If someone is really keen, then usually they make time to talk or see you. If you both got into the habit of talking every day then perhaps this is a commitment he is no longer willing to keep but hasn't told you so.
Maybe because you got into that habit so quickly, the fact he hasn't text you stands out more than it would if you had exchanged messages more casually and unpredictably?
Perhaps leave him to make the next move rather than texting him. If he contacts you then he may have just got side tracked and not realised the frequency of your messages. If he doesn't then you know he's not worth getting hurt over again.
