Ok so I've been best friends with this guy for years and he told me was gay not long ago. He told me about a month ago he met this other guy and they were kissing and stuff but since then nothing has happened between them. The problem is, I really like the guy my best friend kissed and he keeps telling my best friend that he likes me and I'm really hot and stuff, so I'm just confused. I was to kiss this guy but I’m also not sure how my best friend will take it. Thanks so much x

It can be difficult when a man comes between two friends. If this guy has been telling your friend that you are ‘hot’ and that ‘he likes you’ then he should be prepared for something potentially to happen between you both. He might not be ok with it but chances are he expects something already.
Perhaps talk to him and ask him how much he likes this guy- if it was just a few kisses and nothing more then maybe he will be ok with it. If not then you perhaps need to decide who means more- your friend or this new guy. Is your desire to kiss this man more important than your friendship?
There will be other men who come along that one of you likes and the other doesn’t and vice versa- so this won’t always be an issue. It might be better to wait off and find a guy who is only interested in one of you rather than both so you are not starting the relationship on eggshells.
