Haley asks :

Hi Lucy,

I have been getting Brazilian waxes for a while now and was wondering what happens if I want to stop? Does my hair grow back thinner like my underarms do?

Our Reply

Hi Haley,

Yes it should grow back thinner, like your underarms. The constant waxing will likely have weakened the follicle making the hair grow back finer than it was when you started. You should maintain a slower growth rate too if you shave or use hair removal crème as often as you waxed.

If you are just going to leave the hairs then you should see a considerable difference from when you first started waxing. That said hair growth is dependent on many factors such as hormone changes, age, stress, sunlight and diet, so be mindful of these if you don’t get the result you were expecting.
