A computer gadget sprays perfume when it receives a retweet on twitter.

Benjamin Redford has developed a product - which is called Olly and due to launch later this year - for technology organisation Mint that monitors action on social networking sites such as twitter and Facebook and sprays the scent when its name receives mentions or comments.

The inventor is quoted by BBC News as saying: ''We wanted to reward people in the physical world for their digital and social interactions.
