A TV presenter has sensationally claimed that the concept of God was created by ''misunderstood'' alien technology, which early human civilisations mistakenly used religion to justify.

Conspiracy theorist Giorgio Tsoukalos - who is known for his 'Ancient Alien' shows on The History Channel - gave his thoughts at an annual UFO conference in California.
