Argos has announced its Augmented Reality TV app following a boost in giant screen televisions being sold ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

The UK store revealed it had seen a huge rise of 173 percent in sales of jumbo TV sets - measuring 65'' or more, and it has come up with a solution to help people find the best model.

Within the iOS app, users can view full-scale, 3D versions of 25 TV available to purchase online, and then see how it would fit into their homes.

Matt Grabham, Digital Product Manager at Argos, said: ''As a digitally led retailer, it's our goal to give customers the best possible shopping experience, whether in-store or online. We are really excited to launch this new version of the app, which will completely change how our customers buy TVs.
