A bear escaped through a wall ''like the Kool-Aid Man'' after breaking into a Colorado home.

The furry friend - which could have been tempted by the smell of rubbish when it went into the property - ''forcibly breached in the wall'' like the Kool-Aid drink mascot when police arrived on the scene.
Meanwhile, officials from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife organisation urged residents to make sure to close and lock all doors and windows to protect their homes and vehicles.
The department said: ''Make it a routine to check everything is closed up before you go to bed or leave the house to do errands. Please do your part to keep bears wild.''
