A binman has refused to apologise for kicking a child's snowman.

The refuse collector was sacked by Herefordshire County Council after he was caught on CCTV kicking the head off a snowman built by three-year-old Joseph Taylor and oddly compared the incident to the coronavirus pandemic in a rambling social media defence.
He wrote on Facebook: "Yes I kicked the snowman. No it doesn't have feelings.
"Yes the people who made it (kids) have young feelings. Let's look at the bigger problem in this world COVID-19 people have feelings about this.
"People are dropping dead by a virus. Think of it like this, that snowman wouldn't be there tomorrow, any feelings then?...no.
"I understand people made this snowman but it's gonna melt anyhow.
"I don't understand why this has come to this. (sic)"
