Brits are more interested in good weather and the latest 'Love Island' news than they are about the World Cup.

Search engine Bing.com has looked at its weekly search trend data and consumer poll results, and it appears there a lot of things capturing the imagination more than the England football team's campaign in Russia.

Reality star Dani Dyer has received more interest than Manchester City star Raheem Sterling, while the show's host Caroline Flack has been searched more than Chelsea's Eden Hazard.

Nearly half (42%) of the topical UK searches are related to the weather, with five times more searches for spa weekends compared to the England squad.

Just 34% of searches are related to the global tournament, national team's players and fixtures.

Even Cristiano Ronaldo - who recently won the Champions League with Real Madrid and is regarded as one of the greatest footballers in the world - finds himself as a runner-up here, with beach holidays and spa weekends capturing the imagination.

Brian Kealy, Head of Bing International Communications, says: ''The FIFA World Cup grabs the nation's attention every four years and whilst our results have shown an expected interest again this year, our research shows that popular subjects such as the weather, summer holidays and 'Love Island' could impact the number of Brits following the football.''
