A study by the European Society of Cardiology found that caffeine addicts are somewhat healthier than those who omit the stimulant from their diet.

The research spanned 10 years and nearly 20,000 participants were quizzed on their health and coffee consumption.

The results found those who consume large amounts of coffee were 64 per cent less likely to die of any cause during the 10 year period.
