An image of the creature with lips and teeth remarkably similar to humans has caused a stir on social media.
Twitter user Raff Nasir shared two photos of the freaky fish, writing: ''Her lips are hotter than mine.''
The pictures were a viral sensation, amassing more than 14,000 likes.
One Twitter user joked about this fish's pout, commenting: ''Kylie Jenner is shaking in her boots.''
Other posters argued over which species the animal belonged to, with local news outlet the Rakyat Post suggesting that it was likely to be a form of triggerfish.
The species are known to be territorial and aggressive and bare their teeth when battling with sea urchins and crabs.
