A giant crocodile has been captured by authorities in Australia.
The massive reptile measured 16.4ft and weight up to 1,322lbs when it was removed from the Katherine River in the remote Northern Territory in order to stop it from reaching a populated area.
The 60-year-old male had been the target of rangers since 2010 but they finally caught him on Monday (09.07.18) after sedating the croc and it has been taken to a crocodile farm.
Tracey Duldig, acting director of the Department of Tourism and Culture, said: ''He was removed downstream from Katherine to help prevent human interaction in the more populated areas.
''He has been taken to a croc farm in the Katherine region.''
