In an effort to protect natural resources, helicopters and trucks have been working to relocate the animals from the Olympic National Park near Seattle.

Professional crews had to used tranquilizer darts and net guns to capture them from ridges and slopes, before they were blindfolded and airlifted in specially made slings to a special area of the park.

There, they were examined, collared - including a tracking device - given some fluids and taken to another area of the North Cascades to give numebrs there boost.

Park officials approved the plan in June, with around 375 goats airlifted to their native habitat.
