A new study from Entertainment One - who produced the film 'Ollie & Stan' and carried out the research - quizzed 1,500 men across Britain and found that 54% of participants felt a stronger bond between their male friends than their wives and partners.

Nearly half also confessed to arguing with their other half about how much time they spend with their friends.

Despite these findings, the study also found that 62% of men would still rather go on a holiday abroad with their partners.

An Entertainment One spokesperson said: We wanted to shine a light on male friendships - and it seems when it comes to their best mates men are pretty loyal.''
