The Kruger Shalati hotel consists of 24 carriage rooms on disused trains cars over the Sabie River in Kruger National Park.

Stays at the unlikely accommodation begin at £415 a night, including meals and guided vehicle tours.

Hotel officials say that only guests over the age of 12 will be allowed to stay, although family-friendly rooms are planned to open by 2022.

The operators say there is currently no opening date for the hotel due to the coronavirus crisis, but they are hoping to accommodate guests by the end of this year.
