The awkward incident saw the vehicle squashed underneath an SUV, with a large crowd gathering to watch the unlucky driver rescued from the soft top Porsche Carrera.

Emergency workers helped the valet - who was left ''embarrassed and a little bit shocked'' but unharmed from the mishap - outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Sydney, Australia.

It's said the car accelerated during the marking attempt, and ended up underneath the orange sports utility vehicle.

The hotel's director of sales and marketing, Matthew Talbot, told the Australian Broadcasting Corp that the driver escaped without injury.
