The fight, involving dozens of women, started inside The Woodman Arms, in Middlesbrough, at around 10.25pm on the evening of Mother's Day, the Metro reported.

It got very violent and heated that the fight continued out into the car park and two women were arrested.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman confirmed: ''Police were called to the Woodman Arms at around 10.25pm on Sunday night to reports of up to a dozen women fighting.

''It started inside the pub and then moved outside. Two women, aged 24 and 30, were arrested for being drunk and disorderly in a public place and were issued with fixed penalty notices (FPN).''

The pub encouraged children to give their mum ''something different'' when they advertised their event on social media.
