After a man called Ben matched with Emily on the online dating platform, they teased each other about meeting at London's Gatwick airport - before it quickly became a reality.

Ben's friend Soph shared the amazing exchange online, as the pair agreed to book a trip with Wowcher's mystery holiday vouchers, which cost £99 per person and draw destinations at random.

They'll find out where they're going on October 23, with social media users hoping for the best.

One wrote: ''Imagine meeting your future spouse this way omg! Please keep us updated. (sic)''

Meanwhile, a Bumble spokesperson loved the spontaneous first date plan, and added: ''There are community guidelines and advice about staying safe when meeting up in real life.

''The app has features including voice and video options allowing users to chat without exchanging numbers, two factor verification for creating a new account and strict rules on photos to reduce issues such as catfishing.''
