A man was forced to turn himself into the authorities after he lost a bet with the police.

Michael Zaydel, 21, messaged the police after they put out an appeal to find him on Facebook and said he would hand himself in if they managed to get 1,000 shares on their next post and he even promised to bring doughnuts, the Metro reported.
The Redford Township Police Department in Detroit shot passed the milestone after posting his message which was shared more than 4,000 times.
Michael, who was originally arrested for misdemeanours, kept his promise and handed himself in along with a dozen doughnuts and a bagel.
He was sentenced to 39 days in jail.
