Thai freelance photographer Kritsada Ratprachoom returned home from picking up his kid from school, and went to do his business, when as he was wiping his backside, the live long wriggly parasite emerged on the toilet paper.

Retelling the horrifying moment to the Khaosod newspaper, Mr. Ratprachoom shared: ''I had just finished dropping my child off at school and ran some errands when I had to go [for a] number two.

''Afterwards, I felt like I wasn't finished defecating, like something was left.

''So I got up to see what it was. Turns out there was something sticking out of my bottom.''

He had assumed that he may have just been some string left after he underwent underwent appendix surgery the week before.

However, he claimed it stretched to around 32 feet, and soon realised what it was.

As per the NHS website, ''tapeworms are flat, ribbon-like worms that can live in your gut if you swallow their eggs or small, newly hatched worms''.

However, there are often no symptoms.
