Darcy Major's wallet went missing back in 1966 but he had never discovered what had happened to it until it was found recently.

The wallet was discovered in an old couch by Christopher Camacho, who was able to find out it belonged to Major from the documents inside, which included a driver's licence, an old check and a dog licence.

Major admitted it was a "thrill" to be reunited with the wallet and praised Camacho for having the good heart to return it.

The 86-year-old told the Simcoe Recorder newspaper: "It’s quite a thrill, even though everything is outdated. There’s honest people out there to return it. He could’ve put it in the garbage, and it’s so nice that there’s people like that."
