A man from Texas has become the first person to run from Disneyland to Walt Disney World.

Don Muchow ran from California to Florida as he completed a challenge that began in February 2020. He had planned to complete the run in 90 days but it ended up lasting 14 months due to delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Muchow arrived in Florida after nearly 3,000 miles of running on Monday (05.04.21) and admits he never considered giving up on the challenge, which aimed to raise awareness of Type 1 diabetes, despite the setbacks.
He told the Orange County Register: "I never considered quitting even once.
"Covid didn't change my mission: I want every single person with Type 1 diabetes to see that we can still dream big, despite the very real 24/7 challenges and risks involved in balancing insulin, blood glucose, food and activity."
