Jared Dormer claimed a Guinness World Record for playing the box drum for 25 hours, 42 minutes and 34 seconds in Moose Jaw, Canada.

Dormer revealed that he considered setting a drumming world record last year and settled on the box drum after finding out that the record had never been attempted before.

He explained how Guinness set him a target of 24 hours but he went for another hour as a test of his endurance.

Dormer also admits that it was nice to play music in front of people again as the coronavirus pandemic has prevented his band from performing.

He said: "It was awesome. It was really nice to play music in front of people again, because we're coming up on a year with COVID keeping our band from doing anything."
