Mysterious bowls of mashed potatoes are popping up in a Mississippi town.

Residents of Jackson are extremely confused by the sudden appearance of mashed potatoes all over their neighbourhood, with reports the food is being found on their cars, porches, and mailboxes.
Mississippi native, Jordan Lewis enquired: ''So we don't know if someone is just playing a prank or if someone just had a lot of leftovers.''
However, fellow resident Sebastian Bjernegard is worried the bowls of food may be being dotted around the town with more sinister intentions.
He said: ''Some people were thinking maybe the mashed potatoes were poisoned to kill animals.I didn't taste it. I have a three-second rule, so I didn't touch it. But some people were worried.''
As of yet, the police have not been called to take action and community member Michaela Lin pointed out that some of potato-finders have connections to a local private Christian university.
