Plenty of Fish has found Viking-types who speak Scandinavian are among the most desirable suitors on the dating app.
Research by the site, who analysed data from over a million POF profiles, found Scandi hunks who speak Norwegian receive 32 per cent more messages.
Whilst those who stand at a height of 6ft2 - Viking-like - receive 30 per cent more.
The study also found that men appear to be loving girls with an Essex accent, especially with the name Melissa.
For men, the name Oli is the most popular with ladies
Equally, men and women with dogs are + 5 per cent more likely to receive an interaction.
Shannon Smith, spokesperson for Plenty of Fish, commented: ''As one of the biggest dating apps in the world and in the UK, we're able to provide a snapshot of what singles find the most appealing at any given time. There is often a difference between what singles say they want, and their actual behaviour on the app.
For example, men are often teased in the pub for being broody or wanting kids, but it's clear that this is a big goal for them just as much as it is for women. Or that, despite a move towards cleaner living, a first date over a pint or a cocktail seems to be the most preferable.''
