Police have finally caught a serial toilet clogger who targeted dozens of bathrooms.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested after stuffing empty bottles into the pipes, which left locals disgusted and waste with nowhere to go.

Now, it has been confirmed on Facebook that Sheboygan Police Department have caught the crook after a string of incidents costing $3,000 in repair and replacement work on the toilet.

A statement read: ''Members of the Sheboygan Police Department arrested a 33 year old Sheboygan man for the string of vandalism that has been occurring at Deland Park over the past two years.

''The information leading to the arrest was provided by a citizen. The Sheboygan Police Department would like to thank those that provided us with information.''

As reported by US network ABC, he had damaged a women's bathroom at a local Michigan community centre at least 30 times over the past two years.

One resident told the broadcaster: ''It's very inconsiderate.''
