Indiana State Police stopped a tractor-trailer on Wednesday (08.08.18) on eastbound Interstate 70 in Putnam County for a routine commercial vehicle inspection and were shocked to discover the drugs haul.

UPI.com states that Jorge Blanco-Diaz, 33, and Adan Labanino Delacruz, 40, who were in the vehicle at the time, told police officers that they were carrying fresh lettuce.

However, when officers searched the trailer they found the drugs concealed within the fresh produce.

Police said: ''A search of the trailer yielded 260 pounds of hydroponic marijuana concealed within the legitimate load of fresh lettuce.''

The vehicle had been travelling from Florida to Colorado when the discovery was made by law enforcement officials.

Both men were arrested on felony charges of marijuana dealing.
