A police dog from Florida was given overdose medication after detecting drugs on a passenger.
The animal was given medication normally used to reverse an opioid overdose after suffering seizure-like symptoms while on duty.
Jake, a drug-sniffing Golden Retriever with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, was working on a Norwegian Epic cruise ship when he suffered the seizure-like symptoms and lost control.
The passenger aboard the cruise ship was charged with possessing a controlled substance without a prescription after cops found he was carrying a sedative, amphetamine, ecstasy and other drugs.
Brevard County Sheriff's Office spokesman Tod Goodyear told The Associated Press that Narcan - a spray that's used to reverse an opioid overdose - was administered to the dog.
Jake will not suffer any long-term effects from the overdose and is expected to return to work.
