The George Pub and Grill in County Durham is encouraging its customers to take part in the Man vs. Food inspired challenge, which would require them to chow down on a stack of 10 burgers smothered in cheese and bacon and a side of fries.

Named the Big Ben Number 10, the dish costs £28.95 and is a whopping 1.5kg, coming in at around 12,000 calories.

However, the pub are warning people to eat it at their own risk, with the owner offering the customer ''compensation'' of up to £500 towards a headstone if they were to pass away because of the challenge, the Mirror Online reports.

Craig Harker said: ''This burger will go down as bragging rights with friends, and I can see all the big eaters going for our Big Ben Number 10. With over 12,000 calories, the meal comes with a warning to eat at your own risk.''
