Customers who spend $50 at Mexican eatery Fresco's Cantina are given the chance to have their food delivered to their house by a drag queen and for them to lip-sync a song of their choice.

Owner Brian Martinez said he launched the service as customers missed the restaurant's drag-themed events during the coronavirus lockdown.

He said: ''We're a gay-owned business. We've been doing drag bingo on Thursdays, drag brunch on Sundays, screening for 'Ru Paul's Drag Race'.

''So, we had that following and people were saying, 'I miss bingo, I miss brunch!' ''

Martinez revealed the service has proven popular with his customers.

He commented: ''I figured let's incorporate them both, get some queens out there, and help them make some extra money.

''It kind of all makes sense putting everybody together. We stay relevant, our brunch stays relevant, a the girls stay busy.''
