Saturn's rings will disappear early next year.
The rings are one of the most recognisable features of the gas giant but space enthusiasts will be able to see them until March 2025 to see them because of the way the planet is tilting.
Saturn will soon be edge-on with Earth which means that the rings will cast a near-invisible line in a phenomenon called "ring place crossing".
The process will begin in March 2025 before the rings gradually start to come into view again before vanishing once more in November next year due to Saturn's unique movement around the Sun.
However, scientists say that the disappearing rings are merely an optical illusion.
Vahe Peroomian, a physicist and astronomer at the University of Southern California, told CBS News: "(From that specific angle) they reflect very little light and are very difficult to see, making them essentially invisible."
