Michael Langford discovered the giant crisp when he decided to have a packet of Snackrite's ridged treats as a midnight snack.

The crisp is almost the length of the entire packet and Langford says he knew something was unusual when he first purchased the bag last week.

The 44-year-old, who hails from Dorset, told The Sun newspaper: "I remember the packet feeling particularly bulgy.

"I put my hand in the bag and clasped onto the first crisp I could find.

"It was the first one to come out and it kept going and going."

Langford added: "I couldn't believe my eyes, I thought to myself, 'We've got something unbelievable here.'

"Friends and family now call it the 'Mutant Crisp'.

He is now planning to auction off the unique snack and give some of the proceeds to charities supporting Ukrainian refugees.
