Belfazaar Ashantison, the co-founder of the New Orleans Vampire Association, urged the celebrity couple to take the correct precautions before drinking the blood - including testing for diseases and blood-borne illnesses.

In a statement to TMZ, Ashantison claimed that vampires are "not immune" from such illnesses.

Fox recently confirmed that she and her rapper boyfriend enjoy slurping on each other's claret for "ritual purposes".

She told Glamour magazine: "Yeah. So, I guess to drink each other's blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we're like 'Game of Thrones', drinking each other's blood.

"It's just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other's blood on occasion for ritual purposes only."
