Woman asked for dog to be killed

A woman has asked for her dog to be killed and buried alongside her.

''Outsiders don't have the grounds to rewrite the provisions of my client's will and impose what they want.''

Connie Lay, who died last year, is said to have made the dying wish that her dog Bella be euthanised, cremated and buried next to her, Fox4 News reports.

And although the decision has caused an uproar in her town in the midwestern state of Indiana in the USA, it's been reported that she only asked for her request to be fulfilled if a suitable animal shelter could not be found.

Mrs. Lay had also told her lawyer that Bella was aggressive and that vets had previously recommended she be euthanised.

He told Cincinnati's WCPO news: ''Outsiders don't have the grounds to rewrite the provisions of my client's will and impose what they want.''
