Deborah Hodge tied the knot with her feline India last week in a park ceremony that was presided over by a legally ordained friend.

Hodge wore a tuxedo for the wedding which featured India meowing through the vows.

The single mother lost her job last month and fears she may be evicted from her home in Sidcup, South East London and wants future landlords to know that she and her moggy can't be separated.

Hodge claims that landlords over the years have forced her to rehome two huskies and a cat and was determined to avoid the same thing happening again.

She told The Sun newspaper: "I can't be without India. She is truly a sensation, she is so friendly and amazing. She is fundamentally the most important thing in my life after my children."
