Having lots of female friends can make men less attractive to women.

A new study has claimed that women are turned off by men with lots of friends from the fairer sex as it makes them look like they have "many options" to choose from and are "hard to secure" as a result.
Researchers from Australia's Monash University claim that popular men are 40 per cent less appealing and are seen as lacking in humility.
Psychologists Ryan Anderson and Cagla Tekin conducted the study and Anderson explained that men who have particularly high numbers of female friends may be seen as exaggerating - which may elicit "suspicion and/or distrust".
He added: "Saying one has a lot of female friends may seem boastful."
Whilst having too many friends of the opposite sex was considered a turn-off, the team also found that there were problems in having too few of them.
