Global Indian Music Awards returns for the second year

Last year we reported on the first ever 'Global Indian Music Awards' ('GIMA.') And now the spectacular event is back with a blast for the second year running!

Happening across shores in India today, the 22nd of September, 'GIMA' continues to honour artistic achievement, technical proficiency and excellence in Indian music. Including Bollywood movie songs and individual singers.

'GIMA' which is based on a peer-voting system allows only established members of the 'Global Indian Music Academy' to come together and vote. This includes over 280 members ranging from music directors, producers, technicians, composers and leaders in the music business.

'GIMA' will air on TV in October on the channel, Colors. CEO of the channel Raj Nayak told the Business of Cinema: “Last year, GIMA's telecast on Colors had over 20 million people tuning in for the show. We hope to repeat this feat with more success in its second season on our channel and look forward to a fulfilling partnership going forward."
